This painting represents the sacred melding between God and us—not the loss of who we are, but the fulfillment of who we were created to be. As I painted, there was a deep sense that intimacy with God does not require us to erase ourselves or strive to become someone else. Instead, it invites us into alignment, where our true identity and His presence intertwine.
The layers and movement reflect a healthy balance—God dwelling within us while honoring the unique way He formed us. It speaks to resting in Him without striving, allowing transformation to flow naturally rather than through self-denial or self-rejection.
