💔 Who’s There for Our Pastors? 💔

In our nearly 31 years of marriage, Mark and I have had to walk through too many heartbreaking church splits. Each one devastated not only the congregation, but also the pastors themselves. Could it all have been avoided? Maybe…

But here’s the question that continues to weigh heavy on our hearts: Who do our pastors and leaders turn to when they’re the ones struggling?

🫠

Too often, it seems they must always keep the smiley mask on — saving everyone else’s marriages, counseling everyone else’s children, and being the steady support for everyone else’s storms. But… who is there for them?

One of the most common things we hear from ministry leaders is how difficult it is to find focused time for themselves — as a couple, or as a family. Yet we constantly pull on them for our own needs. They’re expected to set aside dinner plans, date nights, or even a quiet evening to rest — because all it takes is one phone call, and their needs are pushed to the back burner again.

And yet, how many churches have been devastated by infidelity or the collapse of a ministry marriage? Even one is too many — but sadly, there are far more than we realize. When a ministry or church falls, the ripple effects are deep and wide.

💧 Pastors need safe places too. Ministry couples need healing too.
It’s time we care for the shepherds who have poured their lives into caring for us. It is time to normalize our leaders needing respite and care. Safety to discuss their own struggles and receive council without being shamed for being human.

🕊️Confidentiality.

This is why Shekinah Marriage works very hard to keep things very confidential and safe so that leaders too are able to get the help they need. So they can thrive, and in turn the body of Christ can thrive! If you are a ministry leader, please reach out. This is a safe place for you. We were blessed to have received this testimony from a ministry leading couple. This was really a dream God had placed in our hearts, and we got to see it happen!

📝Review from a ministry leader husband and wife:

My husband and I were deeply impacted by both our individual and couples' sessions with Shekinah Marriage. God

moved in such a powerful and intimate way during our time together, and we’re still experiencing the lasting fruit from

investing in our healing journeys.

Shekinah Marriage is a truly anointed ministry. God uses Mark and Christine in a beautiful way through the spiritual gifts

He’s given them. Throughout the sessions, we felt deeply loved, heard, and validated—and we had complete confidence

in the confidentiality of everything we shared. It was such a blessing to experience the Lord's restorative work, with lasting

effects!

We were also given practical, Spirit-led resources after our sessions that we continue to reference today. The healing

Jesus offers is priceless, and investing in your marriage is one of the most meaningful steps you can take.

We wholeheartedly recommend Shekinah Marriage—you’ll be so glad you made the call or sent the email!
